OverDrive is a free service offered by your library that lets you borrow eBooks, audiobooks, and more from their digital collections. Every OverDrive collection is slightly different because each library is responsible for purchasing digital content for their collection.
All you need to get started with free digital titles from OverDrive is an internet connection and a library card with Faulkner or Van Buren County Libraries. Explore the collection at fcl.overdrive.com
Mango Languages’ PhD-created and linguist-approved software teaches real conversations in over 60 languages and makes it fun; no snoozefests here. And with free mobile apps, and learning through film, it's no wonder Mango is the most popular language-learning resource in public libraries.
The Faulkner County Library is celebrating its 80th anniversary and the 20th of the current location! We serve a population of 68,000+, and are home to art, music and theater opportunities provided by Conway's three colleges. One of the city's largest annual events, Toad Suck Daze, has been held since 1982. The three day community festival incorporates live music, food and craft vendors, and amusement rides during the first weekend of May.
Faulkner-Van Buren Regional Library System is a two county system in central Arkansas formed in 1954. Our mission is to open access to ideas and communities through shared collections, shared spaces and shared activities. The library’s core service is to loan these materials to individuals who reside within the regional boundaries. The library does this by providing borrowing privileges that promote the appropriate use of materials, ensures the rights of borrowers and protects the interests of the taxpayers. We adhere to the idea that a library should be a place where the exchange of ideas can be found without fear of censure. We will, therefore, resist any attempt of censorship of library materials.
Residents of Faulkner and Van Buren counties may get a Regional Library Card. This card can be used at any of the libraries in our region: Clinton, Conway, Damascus, Greenbrier, Mayflower, Mt. Vernon, Twin Groves and Vilonia.
If you live outside our service area, you may be eligible for a card through the Gateway Project, a collection-sharing program that provides free library services to Central Arkansas residents who live in certain counties. To qualify for Gateway access, you must have a card and be in good standing with your local library. Visit the library and talk to a staff member for more information about getting a Gateway Card.
