Teen Volunteer Program

Image title

The Faulkner County Library Teen Volunteer Program provides the opportunity for participants to give back to the community through supporting the library in a variety of ways. Assistance and support from volunteers for vital programs and services is greatly appreciated at the Faulkner County Library and allows library staff to better existing programs and services and expand offerings. Teens participating in this program will gain experience, build connections with others, develop communication and interpersonal skills, and be rewarded with the satisfaction of promoting literacy and library services and programs in the community.

Why Volunteer?
Volunteering at the library can be used for school volunteer credit, on job & college applications, and resumes. Successful volunteering can also lead to positive letters of recommendation from library staff that you work with.

Volunteer Eligibility
Volunteers for the teen volunteer program must be 13-18 years of age and want to make a difference in the community by promoting literacy and library programs and services.

An ideal teen volunteer is:
· Self-motivated and reliable
· Able to follow directions
· Willing to abide by all Library rules and policies
· Dependable. We will count on you so please carefully consider that the time commitment you are agreeing to will fit your schedule.
